Scott Gillenwater PTA
Scott is a physical therapist assistant with a license to practice under indirect supervision in Pennsylvania. Scott began his career with HealthSouth and specializes in treating patients with neurological and balance disorders. Scott brings extensive experience in caring for stroke patients and works closely with patients and their family members to assist in meeting long term functional goals. Scott also has a strong background in geriatrics with employment settings in assisted and skilled nursing facilities as well as home health agencies.
Education
Scott earned his Associate of Science degree for Physical Therapist Assistant at Mercyhurst College North East in 2007 and went on to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercyhurst College in 2009.
Interests
Scott takes a strong interest in volunteering both locally and abroad and has traveled extensively to assist people in need of therapy services. Scott has partnered with the University of Miami to work in Haiti and he has been able to specifically provide rehabilitation services to spinal cord patients to assist in their recovery process. Scott hopes to continue with this rewarding experience as more opportunities become available in the future.
